Mental Health Matters is an experiential, skill-based wellness program for students, focusing on mind-body care. Participants explore tools for managing big emotions, finding calm, and building community through mindfulness, movement, and creativity. Using a trauma-informed, CBT-based approach, students learn to be flexible and resilient, like a willow tree, amidst life's challenges.

Creative Circle is a hands-on, student-led studio where teens imagine, design, and make their own products — from art, crafts, or creative goods — and learn the basics of entrepreneurship.

The session culminates in a pop-up market where students sell their creations, experience real-world teamwork, and celebrate their work.

No prior business or design experience required — curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try new things is all they need.

In this 7-week adventure students explore animal habitats, behaviors, and the science of conservation. Through interactive projects and teamwork challenges, teens build critical thinking and problem-solving skills while learning how to protect wildlife.

The session culminates in an exclusive field trip to the Santa Barbara Zoo, where students become “zookeepers for a day,” getting up close with animals and experiencing conservation work firsthand.

Create worlds. Draw characters. Tell your story.

Storymakers Studio is a creative, child-led homeschool class where students imagine original characters, build their own worlds, and create a short illustrated storybook from start to finish.

This is not about perfect writing or “good” drawing. It’s about ideas, imagination, and making something real.

The class ends with each student holding a printed copy of their own book.

Bloom & Give is a hands-on, 7-week teen studio where students learn floral design while creating arrangements to share with the community. Students will explore color, composition, and creative expression, then bring their creations to a retirement home, community center, or local organization, experiencing the joy and impact of giving.

No prior floral or art experience is required — curiosity, creativity, and kindness are all that’s needed.

A 7-Week Collaborative Movie-Making Studio

Village Film Lab is a hands-on, creative class where students work together to make an original short film from start to finish. Inspired by the movie Be Kind Rewind, students will “Swede” movies — reimagining, remaking, and having fun with well-known films in their own style.

Through acting, filming, editing, and teamwork, students explore storytelling, visual creativity, and collaboration in a fun, low-pressure environment. No prior filmmaking experience required.

By the end of the session, students will screen their “Sweded” films at a premiere celebration.

Hike Squad is a weekly outdoor exploration class designed to get teens moving, connecting, and building confidence in nature. Together, we’ll venture onto local trails, discover new landscapes, and develop practical adventure skills — all while strengthening community and supporting local conservation efforts.
